Date: Friday, November 8, 2019
Time: 7:30pm to 10:30pm

The New York Founding Tent meets monthly at The Church of the Transfiguration, founded in 1848 and home of The Episcopal Actors' Guild since 1923. "The Little Church Around the Corner," as it is commonly known, has welcomed theatrical legends including Edwin Booth, Joseph Jefferson, Basil Rathbone, Tallulah Bankhead, Joan Fontaine, Rex Harrison, and Charlton Heston, so we are in great company!

Meeting Guidelines

There is no formal dress code as there was at our former location of The Players, but please dress respectably. We can bring refreshments and snacks, but no alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises. Also, it is our responsibility to clean up after our meeting and leave the room as we found it.

Guests are invited to come visit us for a $2.00 fee, and are then encouraged to join us! Learn more about how to join the New York Tent.

November Meeting Film Lineup

Can it be that November is upon us so soon?  Time for turkey with all the trimmings, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, "Babes in Toyland" on TV courtesy of WPIX-11, AND... time for our Boys! Once again, we present Laurel & Hardy in glorious 16mm on our big screen:

A seldom-seen film that the Boys appear, not star, in. It features all your favorite Hal Roach Studio people, including Patsy Kelly, Misha Auer, Jimmy Finlayson, Jack Haley, and Rosina Lawrence.

Pick A Star

Stan and Ollie are babysitters for their children, and play the parts of both fathers and sons. A hilarious illusion pulled off by oversized sets and props!

A film of their first UK tour! You'll get a chance to see how the folks in the UK love our Boys, and you'll also see a visit to Stan's Dad "AJ" Jefferson.
